A forty-five minute drive from the Saxon Hotel, Villas and Spa in Johannesburg, roam the 15 hectares of carefully cultivated landscapes and water-ways at Nirox Sculpture Park, designed and fastidiously maintained to showcase sculpture amidst a backdrop of pure tranquillity and beauty.
In the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site, the Sculpture Park is part of the larger Nirox Foundation, which is dedicated to excellence in all disciplines of contemporary arts. The Foundation hosts an international artists’ residency, studios and workshops, as well as private events and public exhibitions. Occasionally, the exhibition sculptures on display within the reserve for may be purchased, depending on the circumstances.
For a more exclusive experience, private appointments can be made to explore the permanent artworks that lie within the reserve. These currently include works by Richard Long, Willem Boshoff, Caroline Bittermann, Valerio Berruti, Rebecca Chesney, Pryanka Choudhari, Rosenclare and Thomas Mulcaire.
To enjoy a double dose of culture, attend one of the music concerts in the park. The Nirox amphitheatre is a highly regarded performance venue, and concerts traverse classical, jazz, acoustic, traditional and contemporary music genres.

VISITOR INFORMATION
During the course of a public exhibition, Nirox Foundation Sculpture Park is open for free on weekends and public holidays from 10am – 5pm (please note entrance gates close at 4pm).
