We are thrilled to announce the relaunch of our dining and beverage offerings at the hotel. After a few months of meticulous planning and creative innovation, we present the fully re-imaged Qunu Restaurant, Olive Bar, Piano Lounge, and Terrace to you.
A cherished culinary offers a refreshed dining journey that marries sophistication with innovation. Led by Executive Chef Matthew Foxon, our culinary team has crafted a new menu that celebrates South Africa’s gastronomic heritage with contemporary influences.
You can enjoy an all new two, three, or four-course menu, perfectly paired with wines from our award-winning list and carefully selected by our team of sommeliers. A six-course tasting menu is also available on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, showcasing some of Qunu’s favourite dishes alongside exciting new creations.
Our redesigned restaurant features chic banquette-style seating, natural light, and atmospheric pendulum lights, creating a modern and inviting ambiance. A new art installation symbolizes unity and celebrates South Africa’s vibrant cultural mosaic.
Step into the refined elegance of the newly unveiled Olive Bar. Our mixologists are ready to delight you with signature cocktails, familiar mixes, and premium beverages. The expanded bar includes a wraparound counter and intimate lounge nooks, perfect for unwinding with a drink or light meal. The ambiance of this space is enhanced by a striking bar display, plush seating, and bespoke light fittings. Glass doors open onto the Terrace, offering views of magnificent African sunsets.
Sophistication in the Piano Lounge
The Piano Lounge overlooks the Terrace and infinity pool and offers a serene setting for light meals, hearty breakfasts, or decadent morning and afternoon teas. The redesign features various seating styles with stacking doors that lead out onto the Terrace and bring the outdoors in, creating an open and inviting space.
Showcasing Local Art and Modern African Design
Our spaces now feature curated artwork from the prestigious Spier art collection, showcasing the creativity and diversity of South African artists like Samson Mnisi, Lisette Forsyth, and Qhama Maswana. Updated quarterly, these pieces offer a visual journey through our nation’s cultural landscape.
